HTW Berlin supports teachers and students wishing to organise virtual exchange and virtual learning projects in cooperation with international partner institutions. The term "Virtual Exchange" comprises a range of different formats, where international students collaborate in a virtual setting and with the help of digital tools on specific assignments. Examples of such formats include Virtual Global Classroom, Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), and Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP).

• to establish new formats of digital learning and teaching, to expand those already at hand, and to strengthen international networks
• to improve the possibilities for non-mobile students to participate in international exchange and to promote intercultural sensitivities among all participants
• further development of digital and methodological skills in online learning in an international context
• sustainable establishment of our academic strategy „Internationalisation at Home“ and advancement of our local education program
