HTW Berlin honours particularly successful courses and teaching concepts with its annual Good Teaching Award. In 2025, the theme is: "(Campus) Magnet! - Teaching that students don't want to miss out on".
We are therefore looking for teaching concepts that arouse and maintain students' interest and promote active learning. 

• Which courses bring students back to campus again and again and create a real sense of community?
• Which lecturers manage to use innovative and inspiring formats and methods to make teaching so attractive that students want to be present, actively participate and surpass themselves?

• What do contemporary teaching concepts look like that are compatible with students' often busy everyday lives and are still interactive and motivating?

• Which blended or online formats inspire students so much that they don't want to miss a single session because they offer just the right mix of flexibility and interactivity?
• Which courses turn the campus into a place that offers physical added value, inspires students and is worth their time?

All teaching staff can be nominated. The nomination must relate to a course that was held at HTW Berlin in the summer semester 2024 or winter semester 2024/25.

• The nominees or their teaching should be characterised by
• Student-centredness and support for self-efficacy
• Promotion of exchange and collaboration
• Flexible design and consideration of the different realities of students' lives
• Use of didactically innovative methods and technologies to promote continuous participation
• Concrete integration of practice into the course
• Creating physical added value through learning on campus
• Use of project and/or problem-based teaching concepts
• Critical examination of social issues and one's own subject
