HTW Berlin is one of the four state-governed universities that pool their research activities as part of the Berlin Institute for Applied Research (IFAF Berlin), which is financed by funding from the State of Berlin. Through interdisciplinary and cross-university projects with regional companies, associations and institutions, the four universities strengthen the transfer of knowledge and technology into the practice world. The Applied Computer Science Competence Centre is based at HTW Berlin.
