We take the financial burden on students very seriously. If you have difficulties paying your semester fees on time, please contact the Student Services Department. The semester ticket fee is charged on the basis of a contract between the student body and the BVG (Berlin Transit Authority).

You may apply for alternative examination criteria (compensation for disadvantages) as well as extended deadlines for final theses.

All lecturers are asked to make recordings available to students, particularly to those with special circumstances who would otherwise be restricted in their ability to learn. If necessary, the individual provision of links to recordings is possible.

Do you need support, for example, during an examination period or before submitting a thesis? HTW Berlin regards itself as a family-friendly university, and the Family Support Centre can help you with various childcare options if required.

You can also apply for part-time study or defer your studies.

The regulations stipulated in the Maternity Protection Act apply to you.

Students who, for reasons for which they are not responsible (e.g. chronic illnesses, caring responsibilities, disabilities), are unable to take module examinations in whole or in part in the scheduled form may apply for compensation for disadvantages.
