Eight languages taught at different levels
During your studies, you can improve your language skills in the subject-specific languages English, French, Russian, Spanish and German up to advanced level (CEFR C1/C2) or learn another foreign language. Arabic, Italian and Japanese are taught up to basic level (CEFR A1).
HTW Berlin is one of the few universities in Germany with its own Foreign Languages Centre - including a media library - and offers language courses with subject-specific specialisations in the fields of business (B), technology (T) and design (D) as well as general language (G) in eight languages:

In addition to the semester-long courses, intensive courses are offered which can be counted towards degrees if they conclude with an examination.
