As part of the project “Innovative Materials and Processing” project (Master in Clothing Technology/Confectionery and Fashion Design), three groups have developed textile products for outdoor survival. Special attention was paid to the needs of women, which is why the CuddleCloud, the Gartengeher and the ComfortEscape were prototyped. ComfortEscape and the Gartengeher model serve as a shelter/safe space for women outdoors, while the CuddleCloud allows women to safely take their newborn with them, for example while fleeing from war.The interdisciplinary project surviving outside was supported by the HTW Berlin Equal Opportunities Fund.

Im Rahmen des Projektes „Innovative Materialien und Verarbeitung“ (Master Bekleidungstechnik/ Konfektion und Modedesign) haben drei verschiedene Gruppen textile Produkte für das Überleben im Freiem entwickelt. Dabei wurde spezifisch auf die Bedürfnisse von Frauen geachtet, wodurch die Prototypen der CuddleCloud, des Gartengeher-Zeltes und des ComfortEscapes entstanden sind. ComfortEscape und das Gartengeher-Modell dienen als Unterschlupf/SafeSpace für Frauen im Freien, während die CuddleCloud Frauen die sichere Mitnahme ihres Neugeborenen z.B. auf der Flucht gewährt. Das interdisziplinäre Projekt Draußen (über)leben wurde mit Mitteln des Chancengleichheits-Fonds der HTW Berlin unterstützt.
