European Game Science Lab (EGSL)
The European Game Science Lab aims to bring together both game theory and game design to enhance education for the creation of games. We aim to transform the understanding of video game creation among students and educators. Games can promote diversity, address social issues, support inclusion, and promote mental health. Video games not only reflect cultural norms but also shape them. We aim to improve methods of creating video games in a society in flux.
The European Game Science Lab is intended to be established as a long-term teaching network beyond the project's framework. Our goal is to improve the quality of education for the design and development of video games in the long run by utilizing our Game Design Building Block toolkit. This will not only impact the teaching but also enhance the quality of trained university graduates. Therefore, our project aims to have a long-term influence on the gaming industry.
